Conditions of Entry - SUBSCRIBE, SAVE, AND WIN

  1. Information on "how to enter" and prizes form part of conditions of entry. Entry into this competition deems acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  2. Entrants will be automatically entered into the competition by subscribing to any Pacific Magazines title via www.subscribetoday.com.au, telephone or magazine coupon. To ensure entries are eligible, subscriptions must be fully paid and the subscription held from its date of purchase to the draw date of the competition.
  3. Entries must include all requested contact details to be eligible to win.
  4. Entry is open to all residents of Australia except employees and immediate families of the Promoter, associated companies and agencies and participating outlets. The Promoter is Pacific Magazines Pty Ltd of 35-51 Mitchell Street, McMahons Point, NSW, 2060 (until January 3, 2010) and 8 Central Ave, Redfern NSW 2016 (from 4 January 2010) (ABN 16 097 410 896).
  5. The competition commences 10/10/09 at 00:01 and closes 20/01/10 at 23:59 AEDT. The winner will be the first valid entry computerised randomly drawn at the premises of Beinteractive, Level 9, 155 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000 on 27/01/10 at 11:00. The Promoter will ensure that all entries have an equal chance of winning.
  6. Total prize value is $35,930, as at 25/09/09 and includes: Two winners will each receive a Suzuki Alto GLX Manual including all associated on road costs, valued at $17,965.
  7. The winners will be notified by mail and their names will be published in the Australian newspaper on 01/02/10.
  8. Prizes will be sent within 28 days.
  9. The Promoter may conduct such further draws on 27/04/10 at the same time and place as the original draw in order to distribute any prizes unclaimed by this date, subject to State and Territory legislation. Winners of any further draws will be published in the same medium as the original publication on 07/05/10.
  10. All entrants under the age of 18 must obtain the prior permission of their legal parent or guardian over the age of 18 to enter. The parent or guardian may be called to verify consent and may be required to sign a release at the discretion of the Promoter. The release will also require the winner's parent or guardian to accept responsibility for the acts and forbearances of the winner. The release must include the full name, address and telephone number of the winner's legal guardian. Failure to provide such proof, particulars or releases will immediately invalidate the winner's entitlement to the prize, subject to State and Territory legislation.
  11. The winner of a car prize must hold a current Australian (if Australian resident) or New Zealand (if New Zealand resident) driver's licence. If the winner is unable to register the car in their own name then they may assign the motor vehicle prize to another person (who consents to such assignment). The Promoter takes no responsibility for any such arrangements. The Promoter and prize supplier take no responsibility for petrol, comprehensive insurance (or in the case of NZ winner - third-party insurance), transport, damage from date of delivery. Car prize winner must collect the car as directed by the Promoter. The prize value includes on-road costs. In WA and NZ winners will be responsible for arranging and paying for an immobiliser to be fitted.
  12. Entrants may enter as many times as they like but only one prize will be awarded per person. Each eligible subscription will allow the subscriber one entry into the draw.
  13. Inaudible, incomprehensible, illegible, and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid. All entries become the property of the Promoter and cannot be returned.
  14. If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to State Regulation. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and prize supplier's requirements.Each prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated.
  15. The Promoter highly recommends a current residential street address be provided when requested for ease of correspondence and potential prize delivery. The Promoter makes all reasonable efforts to deliver prizes to the addresses provided by competition entrants. The Promoter cannot guarantee that any prizes returned to the Promoter due to non-delivery at the provided address will be re-sent to the prize winner.
  16. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to sign a winner's deed of release or any other relevant forms or agreements that the Promoter deems necessary, to provide proof of identity, proof of age, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity (including phone bill) in order to claim a prize. Proof of identification, residency, age and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
  17. The Promoter reserves the right to redraw in the event of an entrant, claiming to be a winner, being unable to satisfy these Terms and Conditions.
  18. The Promoter's decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and binding on each person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries. Prizes are subject to availability, not transferable or exchangeable and, with the exception of cash prizes, cannot be taken as cash. Prizes will be sent to the winner's nominated address as stated in their original entry. The Promoter and their associated agencies, and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.
  19. All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the Promoter who may publish or cause to be published any of the entries received. If you consent, we will contact you for an unlimited period to keep you informed about future products, services and events, until you decide to opt out. Pacific Magazines Pty Ltd and its related entities collects entrant's personal information for the purpose of conducting and promoting this competition (including but not limited to determining and notifying winners), and, if you consent, for the purpose of Pacific sending you promotional and direct marketing material in relation to Pacific's magazines and products and services available through Pacific and its business partners. You may request access to your personal information by writing to The Privacy Officer, Legal Compliance Department, Pacific Magazines Pty Ltd, 35-51 Mitchell Street McMahons Point NSW 2060.
  20. In participating in the prizes, the winners agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winners (and their companions) agree to granting the promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winners (and their companions) will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
  21. Prize winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of that prize.
  22. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered, including but not limited to direct or consequential loss, or personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of prize winning trips or in connection with the redemption of and/or use of any other prizes. Any change in value of the prize occurring between the publishing date and date the prize is claimed is not the responsibility of the Promoter.
